Asprey x VOICE GEMS

Created for Asprey Studio’s Bee:wild Fundraising Exhibition in London, this work formed part of a charity exhibition and auction supporting Bee:wild, a Re:wild initiative dedicated to pollinator conservation. Presented alongside works by international artists responding to the urgency of ecological loss, Voice Gems by Reeps100 and Trung Bao transformed the hum of the endangered Red-shanked Carder Bee into a one-of-a-kind digital gemstone and a solid silver sculptural object crafted by Asprey’s master silversmiths. Developed through the Voice Gems generative system, the piece explored the luxury of preservation and the potential for non-human voices to be celebrated and translated into new material forms. As part of the broader Voice Gems practice, the work reflects an ongoing archive by Reeps100 and Trung Bao that gathers both human and non-human voices as digital and physical artifacts, giving lasting form to the sonic identities of the Earth.
